A financial executive with over 30 years’ experience, Ken Mathieson began his career as a wealth manager with New York's Prudential Securities. He spent 12 years with the firm before joining Smith Barney, where he specialized in managing corporate investment portfolios. During his 13-year tenure with Smith Barney, Ken Mathieson coordinated the firm's integration with Citi Private Bank.
In 2012, Ken Mathieson joined Morgan Stanley, where he served as part of a wealth management team that oversaw more than $315 million in client assets. Two years later, the four-person team was recruited to join the newly established Steward Partners Global Advisory, which generated national attention for compiling over $1 billion in client assets through recruitment in less than eight months.
After three years providing financial services to corporate clients through Steward Partners, Mr. Mathieson joined Laidlaw Asset Management as managing director in February 2017. He holds a bachelor of science in marine transportation from SUNY Maritime College as well as a master of business administration with a concentration in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
